About the Role
Working within the Business Excellence, Transformation division the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of new Projects and Contracts modules as part of the cloud eco-system within the City of Salisbury.
You will lead and manage large, complex projects, including the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the new Projects and Contracts system and necessary integrations.
3 year - Full time contract

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure projects adhere to management methodology and organisational procedures, achieving deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder satisfaction
Business systems and process configuration aligned to mapped council requirements
Develop and maintain the Project Management template documentation and cost estimating data
Identify and document potential risks to projects and develop effective mitigation strategies
Assign resources, consultants, and contractors as needed to execute and complete projects
Provide comprehensive financial management and reporting at both the project and governance levels, including reporting to the project team or board
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
Simplify and optimise the new finance solution to align with the council's financial requirements
To successfully lead a project teams, coordinating complex infrastructure projects requiring advanced skills and knowledge including providing multi-functional advice across departments, divisions, programs and projects
Provide expert technical advice on both Project Management techniques and construction methodologies
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, facilities management, asset management, or equivalent industry experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a medium to large, diverse organisation delivering capital programs
Extensive experience in tenders and contracts for civil construction and other infrastructure projects
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build strategic relationships, present, influence, and write reports effectively
Knowledge of project management methodologies, including project scheduling, cost planning, budgeting and end-to-end processes.
Exceptional project management skills, high attention to detail and accuracy
Current Driver's License
